Chapter 9. FIRE PREVENTION AND PROTECTION

§ 9-1.1. State fire code adopted.

(a)

The Arkansas State Fire Prevention Code, including any amendments or revisions that may occur in the future, is hereby adopted by reference as though it were copied herein fully.

(b)

Any matters in said code which are contrary to existing ordinances of the City of Texarkana shall prevail and to that extent any existing ordinances to the contrary are hereby repealed in that respect only.

(c)

Within said code, when reference is made to the duties of certain officials named therein, that designated official of the City of Texarkana, Arkansas who has duties corresponding to those of the named official in said code shall be deemed to be the responsible official insofar as enforcing the provisions of said code are concerned.
