Latest version.
  • (a)

The Texarkana Airport Authority is authorized to designate and post parts of the airport property as public parking areas and to charge fees for the parking of vehicles in such areas. Any person who parks a vehicle in such areas and who knowingly and willfully fails to pay the charge for parking in such areas shall be guilty of a misdemeanor and, upon conviction thereof, may be fined not more than two hundred fifty dollars ($250.00) or imprisoned not more than one (1) year, or both.

    (b)

In any prosecution charging violation of this section, proof that the vehicle described in the complaint was parked in violation of the section, together with proof that the defendant named in the complaint was, at the time of the parking, the registered owner of the vehicle, shall constitute in evidence a prima facie presumption that the registered owner was the person who parked the vehicle at the point where, and for the time during which, the violation occurred.
