§ 22-60. Commercial and industrial inspection.

  • (a)

    Report of adequacy of collections. City code enforcement/health officials shall periodically inspect all commercial and industrial premises to determine whether adequate collection of solid waste, garbage, trash and refuse is taking place. Said officials shall report to the city manager, or to his designated representative, health hazards and conditions of potential health hazards. The city manager or his designated representatives shall take such steps as are necessary to alleviate sanitary or health problems, including citing violations to the municipal court.

    (b)

    Report of fire hazards. Fire department inspectors shall report to the city manager, or to his duly authorized representative, any potential fire hazards that may exist in any commercial, industrial or residential area as the result of an inadequate disposal of combustible material or nonmaintenance of property (weed lots). The city manager or his designated representative shall take such steps as necessary to alleviate such fire hazards, including citing violations to the municipal court.
