§ 1-5. Discharge of fines and sentences by working.

Any person serving a fine or sentence in the city jail is allowed and credited five dollars ($5.00) per day on his fine or sentence if he works satisfactorily, otherwise, said prisoner is allowed and credited not less than two dollars ($2.00) per day on his fine or sentence while he remains in jail.
